5 Minute Love Handle Workout For Men

Intense Oblique Workout To Blast That Fat!




I was talking with a few of my guy friends about the workouts I've been doing while posting for this blog, and the main feedback I received was “well, yeah I want to lose my love handles too but… Those workouts are for girls”.  So I decided to find an Oblique workout for men, for those of you who feel like some of the pilates workouts are too “girly” for you. (Seriously, do them once and feel that burn and tell me that it's too girly.  I dare you.)
Start out in a plank position and move into doing plank hip twists, making sure to keep your back straight.  After doing about 20 reps, switch over to a side plank to do about 20 reps of side hip raises.  Switch over to the other side and do 20 more reps of side hip raises.  Lay down and complete 15 reps worth of lying leg twists.  Switch to a high plank position and bring your knees OUT (not straight forth), to your elbows for about twenty seconds.  The really killer part of this workout is the 30 seconds worth of russian twists (These things KILL those love handles like no one's business.  I die every time I have to do them).
Rest for about 30 seconds, and do the same workout but adding about ten more reps and ten more seconds onto each workout.  You can do these as many time as you can, make sure you breathe during it though and keep hydrated!  Another thing to keep in mind is that if you rush through all this and don't feel any burn it's probably because you used momentum instead of muscles, so be sure to keep quality over quantity again.
