Love Handle Workout With Pilates

Melt Those Love Handles In 15 Minutes!

How To Get Rid Of Those Love Handles And Tighten Up Your Core.

I went to University for my first year in college, and even though I’ve been really in shape for a good portion of my life, I lost ALL athletic ability and now I can’t hold a simple Downward Dog in yoga!  My main complaint about my body is now I have love handles, and can’t fit into my skinny jeans, so on top of running, I’ll be doing a lot of Pilates to get my body toned without having to use a lot of equipment.

This video that I found to blast away your love handles is intense!  The breakdown of the workout is as follows:

  • Starfish Hips (I did 10 reps)
  • Side Plank Circles (15 seconds then reverse for 15 secs)
  • Side Plank (Hold 15 secs)
  • Starfish Hips (10 reps opposite side)
  • Side Plank Circles (15 seconds then reverse, opposite side)
  • Side Plank (Hold 15 Secs, opposite side)
  • Cobra for 15 seconds to stretch
  • Rotating Planks (30 seconds)
  • Childs pose for 10 seconds to stretch
  • Oblique twists (30 seconds)
  • Elbow Twists (30 Seconds)
  • Tree Hugger Twists (30 Seconds)
  • Picked Elbow Twists (10 Seconds)
  • Ballerina Side Kick (10 seconds)
  • Ballerina Side Kicks (elevated) (20 seconds)
  • Front Clamps (10 Seconds)
  • (Reversed side) Ballerina Side Kick (10 Seconds)
  • (Reversed side) Ballerina Side Kicks (Elevated) (20 Seconds)
  • (Reversed Side) Front Clamps (10 Seconds)

I’m really big on workouts that don’t require any equipment, and this Pilates workout was great for that!  Pilates are some of my favorite workouts, and in my journey to get back into shape I’ll probably be posting more Pilates because they’re so amazing at working your entire body, and for getting your anaerobic requirements.
