Proper Form For Burpees

The Burpee: The Exercise That Should Be In Your Workout

Great Move That Works All Of Your Body

Today we’re going to take a step back to examine one of my favorite exercise moves: the burpee!  This is an awesome workout because they work out the whole body and are great for fat burning.

You start out with your hands above your hand, you go down to put your hands on the floor in a plank, complete one push up, and you push up into a jump.  For a more beginners version, you start out with your hands above your head, put them on the floor, bring one leg in, put it back out, and bring the other one in and out then back up to standing position.  Do this exercise for 60 seconds, and try to get in as many burpees as possible without sacrificing form.

It’s great to incorporate a lot of different moves into your workout, and go to the gym and use the different machines that target specific areas, but it’s also nice to get back to the basics, and rely on your own body for the workout and push your physical limits.

This is also great for beginners who may not be able to handle a lot of weights right now, and want to focus on their cardio before being able to lift 16kg of kettlbell!

What’s your favorite basic exercise that you like to incorporate into your workout?
